Privacy Policy
TEMPO is a lifting app. It records what you lift so you can beat it next time. It does not have advertising, analytics, trackers, or any interest in your data beyond showing it back to you.
The short version
- Everything is stored on your device first. TEMPO works with no signal and no account. That is the normal way to use it.
- An account is optional. Without one, nothing you log ever leaves your device.
- No analytics, no ads, no trackers, no sale of data. There is no third-party analytics or advertising code in the app at all.
- The ANVIL seat list is separate from the app. If you hold a seat on this website, the email and phone number you give are kept to tell you about it, nothing else. Details below.
- You can take your data out at any time — with or without an account — and delete your account from inside the app.
What TEMPO stores on your device
All of this stays on the device unless you create an account and link it:
- Profile — the name you choose, and optionally your height, bodyweight, body-fat percentage and gender. These are used to scale the on-screen figure and to estimate movement depth. There is no requirement that any of them be accurate, or real.
- Training — your plans, exercises, and every set you log: reps, weight, whether it succeeded or failed, and reps-in-reserve if you tag it.
- Body measurements — bodyweight and body-fat entries over time, and tape measurements if you record them.
- Motion calibration — how far your head travels during a squat or push-up, measured once per lift so rep detection can be tuned to you.
- Preferences — units, language, your weekly split, favourites.
What leaves your device, and only if you ask
If you create an account at tempostrength.com and pair a device, TEMPO syncs your training so it survives a lost or replaced phone. That sync covers your plans, sessions, sets, preferences, body measurements, goals, and any paired hardware.
Some things are deliberately never sent, even when you are signed in: how you arranged today's workout (lifts added, reordered, held back or dropped) and your motion calibration. Those live only on the device that made them.
Your account itself stores one piece of personal information: your email address, used to identify the account and nothing else. TEMPO does not email you marketing.
Sensor data
With motion features on, TEMPO reads the accelerometer in your glasses or phone to count reps. That raw sensor stream is processed on the device and is never transmitted or stored anywhere. What can be saved is the result — a rep count, and a depth figure attached to a set.

On Even Realities G2, TEMPO runs inside the Even Realities app, which has its own privacy policy covering the glasses themselves. This policy covers TEMPO only.
What TEMPO does not do
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- No selling, renting or sharing of personal data. There is no arrangement under which anyone pays for it.
- No location tracking.
- No reading of your contacts, photos, messages or other apps.
Your data is yours
- Export — Settings → Your data → export a year or all time, as a plain JSON file. No account required.
- Delete your account — Settings → Your account → Delete account. This removes your account and everything synced to it. Training saved on your device is untouched, and you can still export it.
- Delete everything locally — uninstalling removes the device copy.
- Use it without an account — indefinitely, with every feature except sync.

Your voice, and the AI coach
TEMPO COACH is optional and off unless you use it. When you dictate a question from the glasses, the microphone opens only when you choose “Ask the coach” and closes when you send or cancel. The audio is sent to our server, transcribed (via OpenAI's transcription API), and immediately discarded — the recording is never stored. The transcribed text and a summary of your training history are sent to OpenAI to produce your consultation; under the API terms this data is not used to train their models. Consult text is kept in your account's coach log so your history stays consistent across devices, and it is deleted with your account.
Holding an ANVIL seat
The ANVIL seat list on tempostrength.com is separate from the app. When you hold a seat, we keep the email address and phone number you type, the time you agreed, and the exact words you agreed to. They are used for one thing: to tell you about your seat and the first ANVIL release, such as when reservations open (on Kickstarter or directly) or if the date moves. Nothing is charged to hold a seat.
The list is stored with Supabase and cannot be read from the website. To stop spam, the form also keeps a one-way hash of your network address for one day. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. To change your number, or to leave the list and have your entry deleted, email ops@d3hospitality.com.
How long it is kept
Synced data is kept until you delete it or delete your account, because it is your training history and the point is that it lasts. Deleting the account removes it. Pairing codes are held for ten minutes and are stored only as a one-way hash, never in a readable form. An ANVIL seat is kept until you ask for it to be removed or the first release has shipped, whichever comes first.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Synced rows are protected by row-level security so an account can only ever read and write its own data. TEMPO never stores your Google password — sign-in happens on Google's own pages.
Children
TEMPO is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email the address above and it will be removed.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who receives it, the date at the top changes and the change is described here.
25 September 2026: added the ANVIL seat list. It holds an email address and a phone number, only for people who hold a seat on the website.
